  Motivating the Slow Learner in the Regular Classroom

What are the characteristics of slow learners? How do slow learners differ from learning disabled students? How can slow learners be helped to succeed academically and develop a healthy self-concept? To what extent should the curriculum be modified to meet a slow learner¼s needs? What basic principles of motivation could be applied to help these students? These questions serve as the major focus of this workshop.
