  Planning and Conducting Effective Meanings - For Faculties or School Boards

Planning and conducting productive meetings is the key element in creating collaborative work places. The productive and creative use of meeting time is essential. In this workshop, teachers, principals, team leaders and/or board members will learn how to design and facilitate meetings that encourage teamwork and accomplish tasks.


Topics:

Selection and use of a wide variety of strategies for group problem solving and decision making, to achieve the purpose of your meeting and the tasks to be accomplished

Maintaining an appropriate balance between attention to task and attention to relationships during meetings

Meeting facilitation strategies to ensure active participation and involvement by all group members

Meeting agenda preparation and coding

Disseminating the results of your meetings to others who need to be kept involved and informed

Dealing with difficult or unresponsive participants

Ensuring that group members fully understand post meeting follow-up tasks and that the responsibility for task completion is shared by all concerned
