  Conflict Resolution: Managing Conflict Constructively

Conflicts are inevitable whenever committed people work together to achieve mutual goals. Conflict is to be expected as people go about the business of solving problems. There may be conflict over values, goals, priorities and how decisions are made. Often, conflicts arise relating to roles, responsibilities and the allocation of resources. If conflict is handled constructively, everyone benefits leading to both individual and organizational growth. If, on the other hand, conflict is handled destructively it can lead to mistrust, frustration, anger, resentment and withdrawal.
