  Teaching and Learning the Skills of Peacemaking

Conflicts occur every day in every school. However, you can prevent unresolved conflicts from growing into violence with the practical guidance offered in this workshop.

This workshop will help educators infuse important peacemaking skills into the classroom curriculum.

We can only achieve real peace through individual effort and an unwavering commitment to non-violence. Obviously working toward peace through democratic means is not a new concept. It has evolved out of the need to resolve global, work related, family and interpersonal conflicts. The real challenge for teachers and parents, however, is to model the skills of peacemaking for children. You and your colleagues will come away from this learning experience with the tools and strategies you need to introduce students to the power of peacemaking.
