Developing appreciation of the performing arts through participation has always been an important goal in American education. Music instruction and training nurtures aesthetic development as well as self-discipline, self-confidence and cooperation. These important values and skills are essential in human growth and development and will serve the child throughout his/her lifetime.
All children should participate in general music instruction. This includes proper training in vocal music, rhythmical activities, theory, history and music appreciation. Children who demonstrate musical interest and talent should be given and opportunity to develop their abilities through instrumental music training.
FranCenter has developed a comprehensive approach to music instruction for Elementary, Junior High and High Schools. General Music, Band and Orchestra programs are available through the FranCenter. FranCenter provides the curriculum, training, professional staff, materials and supervision.
Schools who wish to improve an already existing program may contact FranCenter to evaluate their present curriculum.
