Integrating the Arts Across the Curriculum - Why and How?

This workshop offers research-based information on the impact of the Arts on learning, as well as practical suggestions for integrating the Arts across the curriculum.

The process of creating is a complex activity in which children bring together the diverse elements of their experiences to build a meaningful whole. The Arts involve students with the learning process in a manner that increases student understanding of relationships between a variety of subject areas.

Learning to integrate the Arts with other subjects will help to maintain a high interest level in learning.

Workshop participants will experience how the Arts can cross the boundaries of culture, language, and ability, helping learners create meaning in their world while developing a better understanding of themselves and others.
