Teachers, parents and principals know that when it comes to the school curriculum there is always room for improvement. Unfortunately, most changes which come under the heading of school improvement are nothing more than a little tinsel giving only the appearance of change. This workshop will address the significant changes that must be considered to improve the school curriculum for the 21st century.

Topics:

The need for reform in current school practices regarding assessment, instruction, evaluation and reporting of student progress

Determine stages of child growth and development as related to the school¼s curriculum and the needs of the student

Approaches to curriculum development that promote professional growth in teachers and enable them to engage students in higher level learning experiences
