  Academic Therapy
The goal of the FranCenter Academic Therapy Program is to help develop a total child-a happy confident, cooperative and competent individual. To achieve this goal a personalized prescriptive program is developed for the student. The objectives of the student's program are based upon the student's needs identified by the psychological and educational testing.

Specific objectives are prepared:

  1. To enhance the child's self-concept/self-esteem
  2. To improve oral and written communication
  3. To develop perceptual and motor skills essential for learning.
  4. To improve specific academic skills
  5. To develop cognitive and creative abilities
  6. To improve achievement motivation
Academic therapy requires a two-hour commitment per week at FranCenter. Students may be scheduled with a therapist for a two hour block of time once per week, or two one-hour sessions per week.
